About R.E.T.T.A.

We are the second largest of 38 Teachers’ Associations in Manitoba. We represent over 1500 teachers who work in the RETSD. We have two full time teachers and one full time administrative assistant in our office working on your behalf. Our association is based on democratic principles with an elected President, Vice-President, Executive, and Council.

The River East Transcona Teachers’ Association recognizes that we are on Treaty One land. We acknowledge that we are settlers to these lands; the original lands of the Anishinabe, Ininíwak, Anishinini(wak), Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Red River Métis.
