Happy New Year and welcome back to all members of RETTA! It was tremendous to spend quality time with family and friends, especially those residing from out of town. I hope that you all had time to relax, recharge and get geared up for the remainder of the school year.

As we move into the New Year, we often set goals for ourselves and new challenges to overcome. What often comes with that are many new experiences and many firsts. For myself, the role as Vice President is new and exciting. It is invigorating stepping into a new role that will present new experiences, new challenges and through all of that, opportunities to learn and to grow.

2019 marks not only the 100th Anniversary of the Manitoba Teachers Society, but many RETTA events I encourage you all to explore and experience for yourself! Including but not limited to:
– Beach Volleyball social at the BVC March 1
– Trivia Night April 25
– President’s Council May 22-25

I am very proud to be serving our members and working alongside Janice and Chris who have welcomed me with open arms. Continue to do the amazing work that you do, and make sure to take care of yourself. Never hesitate to contact us at the RETTA office with any questions or concerns.
