Demystifying Presenting to a Bill Committee
You’ve likely heard of the opportunity to register and speak to “The Committee” about Bill-64, the Education Modernization Act. When politicians get involved in education, educators need to get involved in politics. This is a great opportunity for us to have our voices heard by politicians who make legislation.
But what does it really mean to present to a Bill Committee? What is involved? Join our RETTA President for a Zoom discussion on presenting to the Bill-64 Committee. We will look at common questions and take the mystery out of the equation.
- What is this all about?
- How do I register to present and how much notice will they give me before I do?
- How do I prepare?
- Who will be there?
- Will I be asked questions?
- What if I can’t show up?
- Will it be in the evening or during the day?
- What do I say?
- Will it change anything?
We’ll look at all these questions and more.
WHEN: May 6th at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Virtual.
